We are actually having some issue on the MRP run for some materials. Everyday MRP is run by a job (see attached details about criteria of MRP run) and converts the requirements created for the component of the finished goods into a purchase requisition.
However, in some cases no purchase requisition is created for the component although we do have dependent requirements. We have checked sap note 371016 and it seems that no PR is being created as there is no planning file entry. We also know that we can correct the file entry by using transaction MD20 or MDAB.
What we need to know is why the planning file was not checked.
