strategy 70 no PIR consumption

Hello..!!

For FERT I am maintaining SG 20 and to plan HALB I am using SG 70 .As per rule the production order of FERT should consume the PIR of HALB.But the consumption of PIR is not taking place.I am using mixed mrp,consumption mode and period at HALB level.Tried all possible things but no consumption.System is just creating planned orders without consuming PIRs.Please help.

Alternative component

Hi,

 

I have maintained the alternative component as per the following

 

Component A

 

Priority                 : 1

Strategy               : 2

Usage probability : 50%

 

Component B

 

Priority                    : 2

Strategy                  : 2

Usage Probability  : 50 %

 

Stock Available for Component A is 1000 kg and B is 0 kg

 

Now when is run the MRP and convert planned order to production order for header materials then in production order system distribute the stock in following manner

 

Component A  - 500 kg

Component B - 500 kg

 

My understanding is system should display as per the following

 

Component A : 1000 kg

Component B : 0 kg

 

Please comment why system is reacting like this or I have missed something.

PIR with Requirement Plan causing issue

Hi Friends,

 

I had experience with PIR upload using Requirement Plan, I worked with requirement type BSF and LSF there was no issue. But Currently we are using Z Planning strategy which is copy of 50. the requirement type is VSE and description is changed as "Preplanning w/o Assembly.

 

In MD04, the description of Strategy below which all MRP elements like PIR will come, is changing like " preplanning GPEOFCST" where GPEOFCST is Requirement Plan name.

 

But if I enter PIR at Material level (without Requirement Plan) description is as same as Strategy description. I feel there is no impact on functionality but visually its impacting the description.

 

Please find the attached document with screen shots. and let me know your comments.

BOMs Alternative, Phantom components and Production orders

Hello Gurus,

my boss asked to investigate the following scenario and i would like your opinion (as Abaper my option would be "develop a custom report" but i want to avoid this!)

 

I got the phantom assembly (PhAs) with an alternative BOM created in CS01

 

PhAs Alt 1

Then I would like to add these Alternarives into my FinishProduct BOM.

I would like to create 2 different Alternatives for my Finish Product, creating the subsequential Production Version, each one pointing to PhAs Alt1 or PhAs Alt2.

This because I want to be able to "lock" (via Production Version) one way to produce my Finish Product.

 

It's possible? There is any setup I have to perform?

 

When i try to create my Finish Product alternatives, they always points to Alt 1 for my Phantom Assembly.

 

 

i'm investigating the concept of Alternative Components Concept of Alternative Item group functionality in BOM but I'm not getting how i can achieve the trick to lock an alternative instead of the other.

Way to identify which component belongs to which phantom assy in CA03 comp alloc

Dear Gurus,

 

This is my first question in SCN. My apologies if something is wrong

 

We have a bigger assembly where the same component (1p1) may go across same next levels(1N1) but  different phantom assy (1A1,1A2,1A3.....). So in my routing i go for comp allocation and assign a component (1p1) to an operation, the ca03 COMP alloc screen will display

 

Level     Path     Component     BOM header material

4               90          1p1               1N1

4               178         1P1              1N1

 

 

So in this case when i had to assign this to one of my operation, i get confused which one of these lines to assign because it doesn't give any information about the upper phantom assy(1A1,1A2,1A3.....). . This is just a sample i am providing. The numbers are huge though.

Is there a possibility to manage this. Appreciate the reply

Restriction in Batch Determination

Hi, I need to put a restriction in the production orden, when we make the batch determination manually, the system does not permit to allocate more than one material batch in the order.  Is it possible?  Thanks in advanced

Master Recipe

Dear Experts,

 

I`m new to PP module and don`t have much idea about master recipe creation.

 

I wan`t to create new master recipe and do some changes in existing master recipe. What should be the areas I should look into in order to achieve both the requirements.

 

  • Can some one explain me the steps to create/change master recipe.
  • What all aspects I need to check before starting to create/change.
  • What are the mandatory fields required to create/change master recipe.
  • What is the relationship between master recipe and resource and cost center.Can 1 cost center be used for multiple master recipes.
  • What is the relationship between master recipe and BOM.

 

 

It will be helpful if screenshots or any details document is shared.

Planned Orders quantity is not reducing after posting scrap in REM

Hi Team,

 

After posting scrap the planned order quantity is not getting reduced, could you please explain the reason behind it.

 

Example: A planned Order with quantity 100, created. now 75 are good and 25 are bad.

So in MFBF posted 25 as scrap, but the planned order quantity still its 100 only its not reduced to 75. why and what is the reason behind it.

 

Please share your valuable inputs.

unable to assign planned order to individual capacities

Hi Exerts,

I have 1 work center under which there are 5 individual capacities.  When i create a planned order with this work center, system schedules this work center under planned order. 

Now my question is , during capacity levelling system is not allowing the planned order to be assigned to any of the 5 individual available capacities.

 

It displays a message saying " the planned order cannot be split"

Is this a standard functionality or is there any error.

Print preview of created production orders?

Hello Everybody,

 

Does anyone know is it possible to see prodcution order object list with barcode (LG04) without printing it out in a created status?

 

In my company we have to check every production order about this document, but at the moment we have to release the order and after that print out to see the details. In the current form this process is causing a lot of trouble (cost, additional work) for us, because we can just do the re-inspection after the release. So to summerize what i want is to do the control check before releasing a production order and without printing out any documents.

 

Just for clarifying as an example i have attached what do i want to see in the system.

 

I really hope that somebody can help me out in this case

                  I have a client requirement like Client wants  design document should be attached automatically in material master. If you have any solution please let me know Generally it happens manually by creating a document and assigning the design file in that document and in the object links assign of materials and in the next step assign of that document in document view of material master.

ECM validity date overlap

Dear Experts,

 

I have change number ECM1 which is valid from 10.04.2016. I have added 2 material A,B in a bom with the same cn.

Now I have created another cn ECM2 which is valid from 23.04.2016. I replaced material A,B with C,D with the 2nd cn.
When i display my BOM at present date material C and D only visible. Now I am creating a planned order in current date, in component list
both A,B against cn ECM1 and C,D against cn ECM2 is visible. Why A,B is still appearing in component list?

set Batch during production confirmation

Hello,

we have a discrete production. We work on a production order more than one shift. I like to stay at a single production order and to have a new batch each shift. The batch number should be based on a number range depending on plant data. The user which does the confirmation shouldn't be affected (e.g. have additional manual steps like using goods movement screen at confirmation).

 

I searched for a user exit where I can include my coding. Checked CONFPP05 as well as PPCO0001. In PPCO0001 there is POSITION_TABLE-CHARG but if I change the value there, it will be ignored by the system.

 

Any ideas?

what are the impacted when calendar months changed from 13 to 12

Dear All,

 

my Client has implemented 13 months as fiscal year with each month has 4 weeks. Now he want to change it from 13 months period to standard 12 months calendar.

 

Can you help me to understand what are all the possible impacted in Production Planning module due to this? and also if you have some insights into other logistics module impacts will be highly appreciated.

Batch Derivation

Hi Experts;

 

batch derivation has been configured in our system to copy component batch number to the output at the time of production order release.

 

Business process: Packing a raw material based on different pack sizes. ( Use one raw material to different output)

 

Characteristics copied : Date of manufacture and Shelf life expiry.

 

Derivation is working properly.

 

But my requirement is to automatically copy the component batch as the order batch. Is it possible to do with batch derivation or is it required to go with enhancement / exit.

 

Please guide me..

COGI - real time?

Is COGI real time data? Example: when you initially run the COGI tcode you will see 200 COGIs, but when you select all and hit save many will drop off. Why?
