86 machines as a single work center

Dear PP Experts,

I have a following issue

My client has 86 machines installed in a plant. For example, if i make a single work center against 86 machines how i would plan that my production has been done on how many machines ?

Physically a production lot load is divided on 5 - 6 machines.

I want to keep track record on HOW many machines and WHICH machines were used in production? For example machine # 21, 28,55,77 & 82 !!!

How can i get it using a single work center for 86 machines ( As per my knowledge, Group of machines can also be treated as a single work center)

Balancing field "business area" in line item 013 not filled.

Dear experts,

 

I am getting error while confirming the process order that balancing field "business area: in line item 013 not filled.

actually this happened because of wrong profit center maintain in the material master.

But the issue is the material is already been invoice and it is in stock.

so kindly give your valuable solutions how system will allow for confirmation as its not possible me to cancel the delivery invoice.

Using COOIS to follow our production

Hello,

This is my first time here. Today, we're using barcodes on our fabrication order to manage our stocks.

I'd like to use these validations through the COOIS to be able to follow every product along the production process, which means to know what products reached "step2" (for example).

I'm inexperienced in SAP, and i just discovered some features by testing settings. I'd like to know what functions allows me to follow the product, and if it's possible to have a vision on the gap between the scheduled date and the real.

 

I'm sorry, I know my question is quite general, but I got difficulties to find informations elsewhere...

Variant Configuration worOrder Splitting with different sales order

Dears,

 

My customer is working with Variant Configuration, I have activated Business function LOG_PP_PROD_ORD_SPLIT in order to be able to do order splitting with MTO.

 

In our case we need to create the child order with different sales order (item) but while creating sales order (with Costing on the sales order level) it creates new production order. If we try to create split order, in this case this sales order have 2 production order which is not the case.

 

We tried to create new Item category which is assigned to requirement class that does not create production order (Costing check box must not be checked

But while trying to assign the newly created sales order to the split order we have the following error

 

Sales order has no CO object

Message No. CO323

BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT COGI error

Hi experts,

 

we are using BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT for order confirmations.

In some cases(Batch does not exist etc.), a few records go to COGI, but the actual confirmation gets posted.

Now our requirement is to catch the error and restrict posting of the confirmation.

I have checked note 208477, and checked threads like - BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_HDR

but yet to find a solution.

I have internally manufactured products A and B. Product B is used on the BOM of A.

I need to plan the production order of B and A to be produced simultaneously.

Anybody has any idea to achieve this?

data transfer between 2 PI sheets of same process order

Issue- Need to transfer data of repeated data request from PI sheet of one operation to PI sheet of another operation.

 

we have 2 PI sheets generated for 2 different terminals on shop floor.  Need to transfer data from one PI sheet to another. I am trying to use global variables in browser based PI sheets. I am trying to use Manufacturing data access points.

I am able to generate access data point from first operation but not able to read the value in next operation-

 

I get internal error-

Error in destination PI sheet- Message CPOC801-Internal Error while accessing PSH-

 

I think issue is may be- need to refer to control recipe of source PI sheet in data access point definition in destination PI sheet - but unsure on how to refer it  since it is generated after PI sheet is created-

Cor6n scrap fields should be mandatory

Dear Friends,

 

Our clients want to scrap quantity should be mandatory fields while during process and production order confirmation.

 

We have done the setting in co86 for screen AFRUD-XMNGA fields its only works for CORK.

 

It is not working for the t.code COR6N.

 

Please suggest how to do the fields in mandatory for cor6n.

COPY OF THE BOM

Dear team,

 

I want to copy the BOM from one plant to Another plant.

 

1. Due to the procurement type issue , we have created new codes .

2. But RM , Consumption qty, Base qty are same./ Only change is that Main material code is different for both plant.

 

 

how I can copy the BOM. Which is the suitable way?.

Categorizing of Finish Good based on production quality

Hi SAP Gurus

 

We are producing SOLAR Panel , but we are categorizing our Finished Goods based on production quality , say A, B , C , D.

 

A if get get best quality that will be decided by QM and similarly rest of categories are defined.

 

On commencement of production order we can not knowing what quality we will be getting , it is only defined after realizing the end of the production.

 

How we can best do this in SAP by MM or QM  . So that we can identify that which solar panel belongs to which category.

Process order batch creation issue

When i try to create the process order in "COR1" transaction , i  encounter the error message as "SFG Batch number should be same as Process Order Number"

 

But not create the process order yet, so how can i enter the process order number in "Batch field"

 

Please anyone advice me on this

Xstep:SXS Library is empty in Routing

I am using Xstep in Routing,if I open T-code CMXSV (Repository for standard Xstep),we can see the SXS library,but when we are trying to open this

 

library in routing-it is empty.

Production order overlapping in CM27

Hi,

 

when I try to dispatch the order into individual capacity multiple production orders, it is overlapping and creating overload to the work center.

Also it is allowing gap between one production order to other production order

 

we are looking for production order continuously assign to work center without gap and overlap in CM27. How to restrict?

MRP run for Co Products

How do I run MRP for Co Products?

The sales order is for Co products which should determine the requirements for MRP run.

 

The production orders are for a main product which is defined as a co product, but it is never the sold item. The items that get produced as co products during the production of the main product are the ones that sold. How do I generate planned orders for the components which are co products in the main product.

Dear Experts,

 

Need your help for the subject error coming while confirming a process order by a Z Confirmation t code.

While confirming the process order, the user is getting the below error. And this error is coming to this particular user only.

Rest other users can confirm the process order with this t code.

Appreciate if you can highlight the diagnostic analysis on this.

Routing unavailable in order through MD04 but available when ordering through CO01.

Dear all,

 

While creating production order from planned order with MD04, the routing is not available whereas the routing could be seen in orders released through CO01. Can you suggest what could be the possible reasons for this.

 

Additional data:

With MD04, the order quantity is coming as 9 square inches. But in actual the production unit is set as UNIT in the work scheduling tab of material master. The base unit is Square inches.

 

Could the problem be related to lot size in routing of the part or the maximum and minimum lot of the part set in material master in MRP 1.

how to get detailed information in rough cut planning for product group?

I am doing flexible planning but stuck while rough cut planning.

As I check in standard SOP, I get detailed information with materials which are assigned to product group.

But in flexible planning, I get blank screen in detailed information for product group.

Hi Experts,

 

I want to set substitution process and I need your help.

 

In fact, I'm interested on what SAP could do in standard regarding the following process.

 

- I have some forecasts and stock on material A till the end of 2016.

- The business want to substitute material A by material B (new part:  0 stock; 0 forecasts) by the end of august 2016.

 

The requirement:

 

1- How can I switch the forecasts of the material A to B from 01-Sep-2016 to 31-Des-2016?

2- How can I set up the MRP to consume material B forecasts using material A residual stock from 01-Sep-2016?
